Ellie Goulding - born Elena Jane Goulding (30 December 1986) in Hereford (England) she is an English singer/songwriter. Ellie Goulding, a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the year 2010 when her smash songs Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed attracted the attention of the public. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is at the cutting edge, like Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of contemporary mainstream music and of independent, arty pop. Her soprano voice and talent for writing emotional songs make her stand out. In the end, she signed a major-label contract for her label Polydor Records and began making plans to release her debut album.
